Bash command tracking differentiate changes to the contents of the two files or multi files

Is there a bash command to track changes from files and folder like github? Example. I have two same files, but I want to compare the changes or differences between the files?

1.txt 
Example text
1
2
3
4
5
2.txt
Example text
1
2
3
4
5
More contain file

DISCUSSION

You can do this with the diff command. If you want to do multiple files add the -r or recursive option

diff <filename> <compare filename>
